So what does the literature say about blogs?

Blog is a contraction of weblog. Created as an easy way for users to post content that would serve as a personal log on the Web, blogs are generally defined by a handful of features:

1. Reverse chronological posting of articles
2. Articles have individual authors
3. Capacity for hyperlinks
4. Capacity for reader comments (Bruns Intro, 2006)
